Price Range

  • The Price or Price Range column is designed to give an indication of how much the resource is likely to cost.
  • In the case of books, we have included an active like to Amazon.co.uk - not particularly because we want to advertise them as a retailer(!) but because:
    • they provide continual updates of their current prices
    • they (normally) show a small graphic of the book’s cover as a bonus
  • When an Amazon listing isn’t available, we use the following rough code:

If you buy books from e.g. Amazon, and do so by clicking on a link from this site, we get paid a small commission (between 3%−7%). This doesn’t cost you anything - Amazon still charges you the same price regardless - but if you do it via this site, Amazon pay the commission out of their own profits. By the way, in order for us to receive the commission you have to complete the transaction in one session (i.e. you have to click through from this site, and buy the book there and then. If you save it in your shopping trolley, and come back later, that doesn’t count. You’ll pay the same price, but Amazon keep all of the profits.
