BTR Review
These commentaries try to combine detailed academic work with accessible exposition, all in the one place. You can read as much or as little of the technical section as you want - but it’s there if/when you want it.
The format:
-translation
-technical exegesis (top half of the page; Hebrew references in Hebrew font)
-straightforward exposition (bottom half of page; no technical language, no Hebrew)
The volumes:
1) Hosea, Joel, Amos
2) Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habbakuk
3) Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi
NB As this is an edited work, the quality of the individual commentaries will vary, depending on the particular author. As a whole, however, the quality is generally very good.
